CENTIEL expands in the Italian market

20/06/2022

Leading Swiss Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) manufacturer, CENTIEL, has announced its plans to expand into the Italian market. CENTIEL Italy, based out of Rome, will be led by Massimo Marziali who has over 25 years of experience in the UPS industry. Massimo joins CENTIEL from Energycom S.r.l, where he specialised in providing customised critical power solutions to international clients.

Massimo Marziali, managing director, CENTIEL IT comments: “I have known the team for many years and am familiar with their innovative approach to UPS design. CENTIEL are at the very forefront of technological development with a reputation for quality. “CENTIEL’s fourth generation three phase, true modular UPS, CumulusPower offers the highest levels of efficiency and availability. Its Distributed-Active-Redundant-Architecture (DARA), and safe-hot-swap capability means that CumulusPower can be maintained concurrently without the need for downtime. Marziali continues; unlike traditional multi-module systems, the CumulusPower design combines a unique Intelligent Module Technology (IMT), with a fault-tolerant parallel Distributed Active Redundant Architecture (DARA), to offer industry-leading system availability of 99.9999999% (nine, nines), with low total cost of ownership (TCO) through its Maximum Efficiency Management (MEM) and low losses of energy.”

Filippo Marbach, founder, CENTIEL confirms: “The data centre market in Italy is growing dramatically. In the recent report published by Arizton: Italy Data Centre Market – Investment Analysis and Growth Opportunities 2021 – 2026, it was suggested that the market is estimated to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 3.80% between 2021 – 2026. This offers a significant opportunity for CENTIEL’s innovative UPS systems to meet the critical power demands in these facilities. “Massimo and his team are ideally placed to support our client base in Italy, and the launch of CENTIEL IT, is another milestone in our global growth plan and will further strengthen our presence in Europe. We aim to continue to grow, adding 4-5 channel partners or subsidiaries in strategic locations each year. “

CENTIEL is a Swiss-based technology company designing, manufacturing, and delivering industry-leading power protection solutions for critical facilities. Its three-phase true modular UPS, CumulusPower known for its “9 nines” (99.9999999%) system availability and low total cost of ownership, has now been installed in data centres and comms rooms in over 60 countries across five continents. CumulusPower now protects critical power loads in locations across the world including: the UK, Singapore, Australia, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic and the Channel Islands.
